75 Years of faith, healing, and hope: San Rafael Parish Celebrates a new chapter

SHARE THE TRUTH

With grateful hearts, San Rafael Parish, Pasay celebrated its 75th Anniversary with thanksgiving for seven and a half decades of faith, service, prayer, and community.
The celebration also included the blessing of the new door of the parish church, a meaningful symbol of the parish’s continuing journey with God.

Reflecting on the Sunday readings, Jose Cardinal Advincula, D.D. reminded the faithful that true faith is shown not only in our words, but in our actions.

After 75 years, the real legacy of the parish is not simply its beautiful church, but the many lives shaped by its mission—people who have learned to love, forgive, serve, and live as witnesses of Christ.

The newly blessed door also reminds us that every entrance into the church is an opportunity to encounter God, while every exit is a mission to bring God’s love to others. We enter carrying our burdens and struggles; we leave renewed by God’s mercy, ready to share hope with our families and communities.

The celebration also highlighted the importance of unity and humility. The 75-year journey of San Rafael Parish has been made possible by countless priests, religious, lay leaders, volunteers, families, and faithful parishioners who have generously shared their time, talents, prayers, and service.

As the parish looks toward the next 75 years, may it continue to be a welcoming home, a community of healing, and an open door of God’s love for everyone seeking faith, mercy, and hope.

Under the loving patronage of San Rafael Arkanghel—“God heals”—may the parish continue to guide people toward Christ and become a living witness of God’s healing presence.
