His Eminence Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, D.D. is the Metropolitan Archbishop of Manila and the 33rd Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Manila.

Cardinal Advincula was born on March 30, 1952 in Dumalag, Capiz. He completed his seminary formation at Saint Pius X Seminary in Roxas City and pursued theological studies at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Capiz on April 14, 1976. He later pursued further studies in psychology and canon law, including studies at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, where he obtained a Licentiate in Canon Law.

He was appointed Bishop of San Carlos on July 25, 2001 and received episcopal consecration on September 8, 2001. In 2011, he was appointed Archbishop of Capiz.

Pope Francis appointed him Metropolitan Archbishop of Manila on March 25, 2021. He took canonical possession of the See of Manila on June 24, 2021.
